Dead weight safety valves are safety valves used to release the excess steam when the pressure of steam inside the boiler exceeds the rated pressure. This valve consists of a vertical cast iron pipe through which steam pressure acts. The steam pressure of the valve acts in the upward direction and is balanced by the force of the dead weights. The total dead weights of the valve include the sum of the weights like, weight of the valve, weight of weight carrier and cover plate. The merits of this valve are its simplicity in design, satisfactory performance during operation as well as it can be easily tampered from the pressure adjustment view-point. These dead weight safety valves are used for low pressure, low capacity, stationary boilers of Cornish and Lancashire types.

Diaphragm valve actuator is most commonly used for globe valve applications, although it can be used with ball and butterfly valves. Their operations and construction features are relatively simple to understand, but they do not always function in the same manner. Generally, they are used to control the flow of process water. The actuator consists of a diaphragm that is placed between a split housing. The diaphragm is made from a reinforced rubber compound, and usually is supported by, or attached to, a plate. The plate not only reinforces the diaphragm, but also provides an area on which the return springs can rest. The location of the springs is determined by the valve operation. If the valve is a normally open style, the springs are placed beneath the diaphragm. If the valve is of the normally closed type, the springs are placed on top of the diaphragm. However, there are exceptions to this general design, and spring placement depends upon the construction features of the valve.

Diaphragm Valves use a rubber, plastic or elastomer diaphragm to seal the stem. Diaphragm valves are generally more suitable for process liquids because of the low-pressure drop and the virtual impossibility of leakage. Diaphragm valves are controlled by a hand wheel. These valves are slower to operate and damaged by over tightening. Diaphragm valves are packless with solid Teflon diaphragm. Diaphragm valves are glandless valves that use a flexible elastometric diaphragm as the closing member and affect an external seal.

Diffuser Silencers are designed to minimize pressure loss through the silencer and are suitable for large fan generating huge air volume. Diffuser silencers are pressure-reducing devices that fit in the downstream of an orifice or constriction in a piping system. They are used to reduce noise from control valve, outlet nozzles and blow-off lines. These silencers have the form of a slotted or perforated metal cage or a covering of porous materials around the exit of an airline.

Digital Proportional Pressure Control Valves are suitable for output pressures in the range of 0 to 150 psi. These can be operated in compressed air environments that are both dry and non-lubricated. Proportional solutions allow variable and precise in process control of pressure. These are used in include adhesive dispense, paper tensioning and laboratory sampling.

Dispenser valves include a valve outlet, which has a closure element configured to assume an opened condition when the pressure differential across the dispenser valve reaches a cracking pressure. The dispenser valve configured to flow in one direction when the closure element is in opened condition. A pump mechanism is configured to pump dispensable product from the connection to the dispenser valve. It generates the cracking pressure needed to configure the closure element in the opened condition. It is provided as a duckbill valve and a reed valve.
