Actuation Valve is a compact close-coupled unit. The floating seat allows smallest actuator package for a lightweight & economical system. It is designed to work in conjunction with flow valve, under rugged service condition. It is available with flange bushings, TFE seat, support bar screw and neck seal assembly.

Actuator is a functional element, which connects the information processing part of an electronic control system with a technical or non-technical process. Actuator can be used to control the flow of energy, mass or volume. The actuator control is always achieved using very low electrical power, ideally without any power consumption, with currents and voltages which are, if possible, microelectronically compatible. As an actuator is supposed to control flows of matter and energy, an actuator must contain at least one energy controller. An actuator contains series connection of an energy controller and an energy converter. The term actuator refers often only to the energy converter, whereas the energy controller is called a power amplifier or power circuit.

The electric actuator has a motor drive that provides torque to operate a valve. Electric actuators are frequently used on multi-turn valves such as gate or globe valves. With the addition of a quarter-turn gearbox, they can be utilized on ball, plug, or other quarter-turn valves. A single or three-phased electric motor drives a combination of spurs and/or level gears, which in turn drive a stem nut. The stem nut engages the stem of the valve to open or close it, frequently via an Acme threaded shaft. To protect the valve, the limit switch turns off the motor when it stops. The torque sensing mechanism of the actuator switches off the electric motor when a safe torque level is exceeded. Position indicating switches are utilized to indicate the open and closed position of the valve.

Air actuators are mainly available in two forms - diaphragm and air cylinders type. The diaphragm actuators are used with control valves, while air cylinders are found on on-off service. Diaphragm actuators with considerable diameter are used to provide sufficient force to overcome unbalanced flow forces across the valve seat as well as internal friction from stem packing. It operates from 3 to 15 psig as well as 6 to 30 psig of air. Some air cylinders utilize 125-psig service air or higher pressure where there is a desire to minimize cylinder diameter. These provide modulating valve stem movement and can operate in any position, although a diaphragm or cylinder arrangement above the valve body is preferred in order to avoid moisture accumulation within the diaphragm or cylinder.

Air blow check valves are used for drying out process lines after cleaning and rinsing. It is also used for air agitation of product in tanks and vessels to obtain thorough blending. It provides a fail-safe operation. It is designed to evacuate lines of product or CIP solutions. CIP solution is prevented by simple air-to-open, spring-to-close stem and plug design. It is made of stainless steel.

Air Fuse Valve is designed for pneumatics. This is designed for non-lubricated systems. This valve is tamper resistant. Airflow is stopped 100% to allow for repair. It activates when air pressure drops to 20 psi. This is made of high strength, lightweight, anodized aluminum alloy. The flow capacity of this valve is 1.0 Cv. The valve stops all airflow, preventing whipping hoses.

Air operated valve is a type of power-operated valve that uses air pressure against a piston or diaphragm to produce linear or circular movement to operate a valve. The air-operated valve is commonly used in applications, which require a valve to open and shut quickly and that must be placed in fail-safe position. A fail-safe position refers to the state that a given component would revert to, in order to minimize plant equipment damage and personal endangerment, if that component were to become damaged or faulted. Air operated valve are typically designed to stroke using an incoming air pressure between 40 and 80 psig, are relatively inexpensive and are easy to install and maintain.

Air Preparation Valves allow metered flow of fluid in one or both directions. Many of them allow for free flow in one direction and reduced or metered flow in the reverse direction. They are used in pneumatic circuits to regulate the rate of activation or exhaust of cylinders and other pneumatic devices. Air valves can be configured in-line or at right angles. In an in-line configuration, the input and output ports are on the same axis. In a right angle configuration, the input and output ports are perpendicular. Flow control choices for air valves include unidirectional, bi-directional or three-way. In a one-way configuration, the valve permits metered flow in one direction and free flow in the reverse direction. In a two-way configuration, the valve provides for metered flow in both directions. In a three-way configuration, the control provides flow control in three directions.

Air release and vacuum breaker valves are typically installed at high points in the pipelines for air release, or at the anticipated pipeline vacuum occurrence location. Air release valves vent the accumulated air to the atmosphere and maintain use of the conduit's full-flow area. These are used to release trapped air within the water system. Pockets of air that restrict water flow accumulate at high points in water mains.

Air start check valve assemblies are bi-petal valves used in aircraft pneumatic distribution systems. It is used in conjunction with an external pressure source for ground starting jet engines. The valve ranges in size from 3inch to 5inch. It utilizes a standard MS nipple configuration, which is integral to the valve seat flange.
