Air start valve is located in the cylinder head. It is opened by the air signal from the distributor. The compressed air at 30 bar flows into the cylinder, which forces the piston down.

It is well designed to give the best flow capacity & the closing cone is totally lifted away from the stream when the valve is opened, giving no restriction to the flow

Lubricated plug valve consists of a plug, which is drilled from the top of integral shaft along its centerline and radially from the cylindrical seating surface. A sealant injection fitting screwed into the hole at the top of the plug is used with a sealant gun to inject sealant down the center of the plug, out the radial holes. The lubricated valve provides tight shutoff of hard-to-handle fluids. The plug is designed with grooves, which retain a lubricant to seal and lubricate the valve and provide a hydraulic jacking force to lift the plug within the body, thereby reducing force required for rotary operation. It is a valve in which the seat seal depends on the presence of a sealing compound between the plug and the valve body. This valve is particularly suitable for abrasive fluids. This valve is considered as high-maintenance valves to be used for infrequent operation.
