Centering adapters are cones and sleeves. It is generally formed in multiple shapes and sizes. It is designed to accommodate a variety of different wheels. A typical service facility may carry several adapters sized to cover wheel holes ranging from 42 mm to 133 mm in diameter.

Centering rings are for centering the motor tube (for rocket engine) inside the body tube. It is composed of two concentric rings, which are connected by an intermediate sectional ring. It is an extension of a gasket for the purpose of locating it centrally on a flange.

Centerless Plunge Grinders are used to grind the outer diameter of a shaft in order to hold a precise tolerance or hold a long work piece to size. They run the work piece between two round grinding wheels in order to fixture the part. These machines have specialized grinding applications that can produce high volumes of accurate, round components such as copier rolls, drills, mills, pins and rotary shafts. It is a traditional OD profile grinding systems. The optional accessories are available for accommodating part sizes from 1/32″ to 2.5″ dia. by using various blades, guides, pressure rolls and end stops. Pressure roll and carbide stop are used for plunge grinding.
