Soft Nip Calendar is a machine device consisting of two or more pairs of steel & composition rolls. These are designed to achieve much of the quality of a supercalender with much of the production advantage of being on machine but without the severe operating difficulties of an on-machine supercalender. The soft nip calendar gives a matte finish to the paper.
