Rotary burners operate with low-pressure gravity and the fuel oil is supplied on and thrown of a rotary disc in a fine spray by the centrifugal force. In rotary burners, a blower or fan supplies air, this air mixes with droplets of atomized oil just beyond the burner nozzles. Rotary burners are used in direct spark ignition. A high voltage electric spark (10,000 volts minimum) is induced between two electrodes located in close proximity to the nozzles, which ignites the fuel-air mixture. The dryer efficiency has been improved by using rotary burners instead of steam or air injection burners.

Rotary soot blower is used to clean convection surfaces of boiler tubes, economizers or tubular reheaters of field erected or packaged industrial boilers. It is suited for environments with temperatures up to 800° C. It is supplied with either a mass blowing or lane blowing arrangement.

Steam Bath is operating most effectively at temperatures of between 43C(110F) and 46C(116F) and a relative humidity above 100%. This is recommended wherever generalized moist heat applications are indicated. Steam-tight cabin is used to prevent steam escaping and damaging the fabric of the surrounding room.

Steam generator is a device used to boil water to create steam. It is built in a wide range of sizes and capacities, depending upon the end use application. They can be small units, such as a small sterilizing unit , making a few hundred pounds of steam per hour. It may be required to produce different grades of steam such as industrial, clean and pure. This steam is often fed into a turbine connected to an electrical generator, although it can also be used on its own for heating or industrial applications.

Strain pressure gauge is a device that exhibits a change of some electrical property when they are deformed by some external force. The pressure sensing tube is connected to a chamber or cavity whose floor is a relatively flexible diaphragm. The diaphragm is deformed by air pressure inside the chamber. This contains a primary transducer and a secondary transducer. These are used to measure elements that convert force, pressure and tension into an electrical signal.

Thermal deaeration is used to remove oxygen and carbon dioxide from boiler water in order to reduce corrosion on pipes and components. When mechanical deaeration (atomization) is not possible, it is recommended to heat the feedwater to 90°C or as high a temperature as practical followed by the addition of an oxygen scavenger to the feedwater. There are various deaerators, some operate at temperatures above 100°C.

Thermal conductivity of a medium can be measured indirectly, using a thermocouple gauge. A definite current is passed through a metal strip of resistance element in a tube with the medium whose pressure is to be measured. The metal strip has a thermocouple welded to it. Voltage developed by the thermocouple is used as a measure of the temperature of the strip and hence that of the pressure in the medium. Its operation is based on filament-cooling principles. It can be used for measuring low gas pressures in the range from 0.1 mm Hg to 10~4 mm Hg.
