Economizers are mechanical device. It is intended to reduce energy consumption, or to perform another useful function like preheating a fluid. The term economizer is used for other purposes as well. These are heat exchange devices that heat fluids, usually water, up to but not normally beyond the boiling point of that fluid.

Electric bell-type glass annealing oven is a bell type design where the whole oven raises and the heat is retained in the oven preventing the exposure to excessive heat. Proper annealing is assured by one hour heating time from room temperature to borosilicate annealing point of 585 deg.C. The unobstructed oven bed provides easy positioning of glassware.

Electric Box Kilns is a rugged extra heavy duty apparatus. The apparatus have heat seal door construction with door jambs and hinges that are fabricated of steel plate with two heavy duty door clamps, bolt hinges and a peep sight with cover. It has microprocessor temperature controller with digital display, provided with selector switch to shut off automatically at a predetermined temperature or maintain a preset temperature for any required length of time. These are durable, energy efficient multilayer interior lining, up to 7″ thick, consisting of energy efficient 2600o F rated insulating firebricks.

Electric furnace is used for central heating. A fan blows air across a heat exchanger or resister, a wire coil heated by electricity and into the duct work. No individual circuit feeding the furnace can be larger than 60 amps. An electric furnace offers some advantages such as safety, design flexibility, no removal of humidity or oxygen from the air, few moving parts for lower maintenance and near 100 percent efficiency.

Electric glass annealing oven is used in glass blowing shop and are used as an auxiliary oven. It features unobstructed oven access and it is combined with wilt bell-type design. The oven bed is at table height and is free of obstructions, which might damage glass. It is counterweighted with a precision balanced counterweight.

Elevator Furnace is used by loading the parts to be heat treated onto a car platform, rolled into position, and then raised into the furnace. This type of furnace saves spaces in the plant and can be especially suitable for the metal alloys that have to be quenched rapidly, because a quenching tank can be placed directly under the furnace. An elevator furnace was constructed, which was to be used by the men to ascend from the bottom of the shaft, thus relieving them from the labor of ascending the stairs at a time when they were suffering from prostration of the vital energy caused by working in compressed air.
