Brake Line Holders secure the routing of the brake lines. It is made from aircraft grade billet aluminum. Its kit includes neopreme spacers which allow fitment for both 1″ and 3/4″ A-arms. Holders of upper A-arms restrain the brake lines, keeping them from getting pinched or severed and keep them from flopping around while riding. Holders are available in silver, red, blue and black.
Brake linings are composed of a relatively soft but tough and heat-resistant material with a high coefficient of dynamic friction. Brake linings are attached to the brake shoe either by riveting or bonding. The complete assembly is then often called a brake pad or brake shoe. The brake linings may be organic, semi-metallic, metallic, or synthetic. Organic brake linings are made from non-metallic fibers bonded together to form a composite material. Organic brake linings contain friction modifiers that may include graphite and powdered metals. Cotton-based linings are sometimes used for light-duty service. For heavy-duty service, sintered-metal linings perform better than fiber-based linings.
